Brexit: Plazo de adecuación del etiquetado y
las instrucciones de uso de Productos Sanitarios
Ante la salida del Reino Unido de la Unión Europea (EU), la Agencia Europea del Medicamento (EMA) junto con las agencias nacionales, están llevando acabo acciones para garantizar el abastecimiento del mercado europeo en términos de calidad, seguridad y eficacia.
A principios de abril, la Agencia Española de Medicamentos y Productos Sanitarios (AEMPS), informó sobre acciones relativas a los Productos Sanitarios en cuanto a su certificación.
Mediante una nota informativa, publicada a finales de noviembre ha comunicado el plazo para adecuar los etiquetados e instrucciones de uso de los productos sanitarios, estableciéndolo hasta el 30 de junio de 2020.
De esta manera, las empresas cuyos productos estuvieran certificados por Organismos Notificados de Reino Unido y que estén en proceso de certificación con un Organismo de la UE disponen de ese plazo para terminar de adaptar su etiquetado e instrucciones de uso a la nueva situación que ya describimos en el post “Brexit: Principales consideraciones en la comercialización de Productos Sanitarios”.
