Both institutions will promote the creation, assimilation and transfer of knowledge in the Science to Business field, which connects science with companies and society. In addition, Life Sciences & Health Consulting will also offer complementary training to the top final year undergraduate and postgraduate students.
This agreement has been signed by Jose Luis Mendoza, the president of UCAM, and Ángel Navarro, the CEO of Azierta, who assured that by creating this department they will be able to develop projects through courses or postgraduate programmes, “that will meet the demands for knowledge on medicine or food safety, and that will also cater to both students and professionals in the sector.”
Javier Morán, managing partner of San Antonio Technologies, a spin-off of the Catholic University of Murcia was also present at the ceremony, and he emphasised UCAM’s commitment to the health field through its offering of health-related degrees, such as Medicine and Pharmacology. He stressed that it “is very important to have allies that are able to place us in the epicentre of the pharmaceutical industry, as without any doubt, it is the driving force behind this market.” He also stressed the importance of the university-business relationship and the benefits that this will bring to the students.
